Counselling Psychology

Counselling Psychology focuses on enhancing positive personal and social functioning across the lifespan. It addresses a broad spectrum of concerns such as emotional, social, vocational, and health-related issues. Utilising culturally sensitive practices, aiming to improve mental health, reduce distress, and enhance pro-social functioning. Therapeutic relationships, either brief or long-term, are tailored to individual needs, addressing specific problems and goals.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a goal-oriented psychotherapeutic approach that addresses unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors. It helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns, fostering healthier behaviors and emotional well-being. CBT is effective for various mental health issues, emphasising the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors for positive change.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)

EMDR is a swift psychotherapy method that rapidly heals emotional distress from life events, exceeding traditional therapy's time benefits. Using bilateral stimulation, like eye movements or tactile pulsars, clinicians activate natural healing. Clients gain accelerated insights, feeling empowered without detailed disclosure. Researched extensively, EMDR is recognized as effective for trauma, anxiety, and phobias, benefiting millions over 25 years.
